Drama with your parent

As you grow older you realize your parents are people too and no, they're not perfect. That's perfectly normal and somewhat of a relief, but what happens when you realize that you parent/s are people you don't like or respect much at all? What are your stories and how do you cope? Do you feel like no matter what a parent does, you should always respect them or does the line need to be drawn? At what point did you draw that line? Thanks in advance for sharing! Love to you all!
