talking????

Question

My son says mom and dada and a few other words sometimes but mostly he is uninterested in speaking... 
He is VERY active and such an amazing climber it shocks me sometimes....
Should I be concerned about the talking...?

My son pretty much only said “yeah” and “dada” for the longest time. But one day, he just started repeating things and becoming interested in talking a little more. (a little over month ago I think) 
I wouldn’t worry. He’ll start catching on when he’s ready. 
I think they say you don’t need to worry until they are 2.

I wouldn't be. my son says less than 10 words but runs and plus everywhere. I have to watch him because he is constantly climbing on things. when he wants things he grabs my hand to take me or brings it to me. my friend is a speech therapist and just says motor is easier so some kids are better motor wise. she told me to quit letting him lead me to what he wants and try 3 times to get him to say it. I also explain everything I do and he loves to mimic sounds which they say helps. So anything I notice that makes a sound cars, animals etc. I mimic it and he follows. Now he does it without me. Plus I ready picture books to him.

My daughter doesn’t talk a ton. She USED to say a lot more. Now she’s down to who’s that, what’s that, dada and mom. She does do sign language for more, all done, please, and milk. I wouldn’t worry just yet!
