IUD after baby, ..?

Hey ladies! I was wondering if you could share experiences with IUD both the copper non-hormonal & the hormone one?

I'm considering since this is my second baby in 4 years but 4th pregnancy. I'd like to give my body a well deserved break 😊

I'm pregnant with my 4th baby and after each baby I had the non-hormonal iud and LOVED it. I did however get pregnant on my first iud. It ended up in a miscarriage, migrating and rupturing my uterus. Had to have surgery to have it removed as they found it outside my uterus on my bladder. This is such a slim slim skin chance of this every happening. So slim. I had another iud placed after I fuller recovered from surgery and one after each baby. My girlfriend just got prego with her iud and delivered a healthy baby girl :) I can't do hormones for birth control so this was a great option for me. I would get one after this baby but we have decided for more permanent options :)

I had the mirena. It wasn't bad, except the OB that put it in didn't cut the string short enough so it bothered my husband. Got the string cut and had no more issues. The first month I had slight cramping but that went away quickly. Also I had it put in 6 weeks after delivering my 1st, it was bad to have put in. We had it removed for baby #2 and will probably get it back in oct when baby comes.
