DACA or Funding?
Do you think DACA is worth shutting down the government? I believe the deadline for a deal to be made regarding DACA is in March, meaning there is still time, but it would also be great if a law could be put on the books sooner rather than later. On the other side, a government shutdown is very costly for people and our economy. The last shutdown in 2013 was for 16 days. According to, **https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/blog/2013/11/07/impacts-and-costs-government-shutdown*** 850,000 individuals per day were furloughed and the payroll cost of furloughed employee salaries alone – that is, the lost productivity of furloughed workers – was $2.0 billion. If you were in the government, what would you choose?
