My due date was pushed back a week !?!? :(

Question

We just had our first ultrasound.... and I went in saying I was 9wks 2days from my LMP being 11/18/17... making my due date 08/25/18...... from this ultrasound the baby is measuring 8wks2days , which puts us at a new due date of 09/01/18.... is this normal? Is it my fault it’s small? I did lose 5-7 lbs since TTC (not on purpose) just crazy food aversions, I’m taking prenatals, drinking water, trying to eat as good as I can. 
-should I be doing anything different??
-How does my ultrasound look? ... supposedly I’m only 8wks2days now :/ 
-The appointment was very quick... only 6-7mins getting the ultrasound...
-we saw a flicker but did not hear any heart beat

If you go by LMP, it’s adding a week or so onto it. In reality you conceived when you were ovulating, not the day you started your last period. They just use that as a gauge to determine if you’re progressing.

No the baby size does not depend on if you lose weight bc there are other factors they use to determine this like the sac size. Also LMP is just an estimate bc you could of ovulated earlier or later the earlier. At my first appointment I thought I was 6 weeks 4 days but I was only 6 weeks 3 days but I’ve been tracking my ovulation for years and know my body inside out. Your just earlier is all. Congrats 😁

It says on there 09 weeks 2 days?! I’m confused..but you’re doing everything you’re supposed to and it’s normal for that to change but I see 9weeks and 2days

it's fine. most Dr's will move the due date after 1st sono. usually more accurate. since conception happens a little later

Very normal!! Throughout my first pregnancy my date would fluctuate the whole time. My original date was 9/24 but I ended up giving birth 18th completely normal. One week I would be 32 weeks the next I would be an extra week up or down. Totally normal don't be worried!!! Congrats! 💝

I had the same happen to me when I went for my first ultrasound. My doctor said I would have ovulated later than I thought or taken longer to attach etc.  I have recently had my 2nd ultrasound and measuring exact to date now 👍🏻

Mine went from 8+2 to 6+4 which was very frustrating. The heartbeat was low at 105 but every thing turned out fine and he’s 15 months old now. :)

My first scan measured 3 days behind but the second one measures exactly what I thought. We are now 39weeks and waiting for my princess to arrive.

I had the same thing happen. I was a full week off than what my last period estimated. But everything has been completely normal so far 😊
