group b strep test was painful???

i went to the OBGYN today and the doctor did a group b strep test on me and it literally felt like she stuck the qtip up my urethra and now when i pee it hurts REALLY bad, like almost to the point where i want to cry, and there's some blood on the toilet paper when i wipe. but when i googled this, apparently they aren't even supposed to go near your urethra and it's supposed to be painless??? wtf did my doctor do to me? 😭

That is really odd! Why swan the outside of the vagina and outside of the anus. It’s not supposed to actually go in or be interested anywhere. It’s literally just supposed to be a swab

My OB stuck the tip of a qtip in my vagina & it didn't hurt at all. She didn't do my bum, so that was a relief.

I didn’t even feel a thing. Maybe you have a uti? Definitely call ASAP.

Oh my gosh how awful my doctor swabbed my vagina to my rectum, never went higher. Maybe call ask a nurse ?
