Blood work for gender?

Can anyone leave their experience with if you found out the gender early and through blood work. Ive heard of the panorama test but most insurances don’t cover it. My doctor mentioned I could get the genetic testing done to see if I am a carrier  for any abnormalities but could I ask to find out gender through this test too? Or is this something different? I want to find out before 20 weeks as this is my second child and need to start planning things out! I am 8 weeks and first ultrasound is tomorrow

My doctors office uses a company called Counsyl. We found out at 15 weeks using the generic test. Insurance doesn’t cover it and it cost $199.

I did Panorama at 10+3, we found out at 11 weeks we were having our third girl, and that she was healthy. 
I am not over 35, or high risk, so I was told my insurance wouldn’t cover it either, but they did. Even if they didn’t I called and spoke to Natera(the company that runs Panorama) and they said the most I’d pay OOP was $200.

I did it bc I wanted to know the gender my dr said if it wasn’t covered her office did. We found out at 12 weeks

most if not all insurances do not cover the test to find the sex out, normally you'll pay out of pocket. my OB charges $1800 to find it out. I'd rather be patient then fork out that ridiculous amount of money.

I had genetic testing done due to my age (38) and gender was automatically done, I didn’t even know I was going to find that out.  MaterniT test was 1200 bucks but my insurance paid for it since I am over the age of 35.

I did the genetic testing and was asked if we wanted to find out the gender when I was 16 weeks. My insurance didn’t cover it. If I would have known my insurance didn’t cover it, I probably wouldn’t have had it done because of how expensive it is. I called my insurance and gave them the code and was told that it was covered but then got a bill from the hospital because apparently it wasn’t covered.
