When did you decide??

Question

When did you decide to pursue IVF? Do you both have fertility issues? Just the male? Anybody have PCOS and a husband with low count, motility, and morphology? My husband is seeing a urologist Wednesday, but should we just ask for a referral to a specialist? We’ve been trying for 3 years now. We’re kind of just defeated and ready to get things moving. Just looking for advice.

after trying for 2.5  years so I was 34 and he was 36 at the time but then had a laparoscopy then waited a few months after that for IVF

One thing key to another and here we are. We tried IUI 5x with no luck and I’m going on 35 so we are running out of time.

I decided after 2 years of failed attempts, surgery, blocked tube, 4 failed IUIs and a surgery. It was time.

You should definitely see an RE and see what they think next steps are for you. We've been trying for two years, I have a closed tube and my husband has slight morphology issues. It was so nice to sit down and talk with someone who laid it all out for us plain and simple and gave us actually statistics for getting pregnant naturally and otherwise. I felt so much weight being lifted off my shoulders and so glad we have a plan in place now. I would do it for peace of mind if anything. Don't waste any more time or money if you have an intuition that this is what your next step should be. Good luck to you!!
