Is painting safe?

Are any other moms planning on doing any painting while pregnant? Is it safe if the area is well ventilated? I really want to paint the nursery.

I helped paint my living room & was fine. My husband got me a mask and if the fumes started to bother me I sat down or walked outside. My doctor said it was fine just to not push myself & know when to stop. Make sure you try to ventilate the house too!

Lol! You sound like me!! I couldn't wait to paint the nursery, so I did!! My doctor said paint for 30 minutes, sit down out out of the room for 30 minutes and boy was he right! I was getting very light headed and wasn't realizing it until I was feeling clumsy. So drink lots of water and take 30 minute break where you sit down away from the room! Good luck!!

We are currently remodeling our house. I am allowed room help paint with latex based paint so long as it is well ventilated. I am not allowed to be in the house when oil based primer is being used.
