Anyone else with horrible allergies!?

I live in Oregon & I suffer every year from seasonal allergies, but I normally take Allegra or Alavert but my dr said the only thing I can take is Claritin but it's too late for it to start helping & I don't really want to put anything in my system that could harm the baby, Any suggestions? I'm miserable!

I'm in exactly the same boat.. Used to be an Allegra taker and not taking anything this year. What a bad allergy season to suffer through too. My plan is to just keep dealing with the symptoms naturally, taking lots of showers (the steam really helps me), trying to get a good night sleep, avoiding others pets (which I'm also highly allergic to), etc.

If you want to go the natural route, try a series of products called Olbas.

They have herbal remedies, like minty lozenges and a nasal inhaler that is really nice. It's all natural and there is no medication in them. My allergies have been worse too, and the nasal inhaler helps somewhat.

I also pair it with some Vicks rub on my neck, ears and throat. I've also had some mint tea (no caffeine) and that helps a bit too. My last resort is apple cider vinegar diluted in water.

I'm on the 'no medication unless absolutely necessary' boat so I know how you feel!

I live in OR too! I've been trying to avoid meds but think Benadryl is fine? For an itchy mouth I find sucking on frozen fruit (grapes/mango) is really helpful and use a lot of genteal eye drops for dry eyes as well as air filters... Good luck it's a tough time of year!! 🍃🌾🌷😶

I do. It's awful. I have had the worst sinus headaches from my allergies too. I take Benadryl at night if i feel really bad. But my dr just said that Claritin is ok to take too. Good luck to you. Hope the allergy season ends soon!

I do! My doctor said Zyrtec is safe. Plus she recommended Flonase. Flonase has helped me immensely!

I take Zyrtec daily and it's perfectly safe. I also do a sinus rinse 2x daily. Benedryl is also safe. And I'm using a vaporizer at night. It's been rough, but I have some solutions. Good luck!

You can take Zyrtec during pregnancy! I've been switching between Claritin and Zyrtec. Sometimes one in the morning and one at night. Benadryl occasionally if they are really bad!

I live in PA and am having a horrible time with my allergies right now. My safe meds sheet from the dr says I can take Benadryl, so I've been taking one just at night for a couple nights & putting Breathe Right strips on my nose. It started raining last night & is still showering this morning, so I feel a little better.  Hope all you ladies can find relief!

My doctor said Allegra, Claritin and Zyrtec are all fine. I use Allegra. You can try plain afrin nasal spray. It was on my list of approved meds, but Flonase, Nasonex and Nasocort are all considered category C so that's between you and your doctor

Yes!! I live in Texas & have Never had allergy issues (I'm 27)!! It is just miserable!!! I reluctantly went to the Dr & I am now taking Singulair once daily. It has helped a lot!!!
