flying w baby during flu season

We currently live in Vegas and flu season isnt bad here. We’re flying to Chicago with our 5 month old next week. My MIL keeps telling us not to come because the flu there is hospitalizing babies. I have lysol wipes I plan to use at the airports and on the planes. I havent seen my family since I was pregnant so I really want to take my daughter there to meet everyone. I dont want to cancel our trip but is it really a big risk? Im very overly cautious about germs. also, any tips for flying with a baby?
