question for Christian women

!this post is not meant to be offensive! anyway, a family member recently got me a Christian devotional (I am not Christian, but really appreciated it because it's their way of showing love). I was flipping through when I read a passage that raised some questions. the passage was talking about saving yourself for marriage, which I totally understand is a personal choice and I have nothing against it. the scentence that confused me, however, was "there are things about sex that you may not know until your wedding night, and that's okay." this just made me think, isn't that kind of dangerous? if there are things you don't know, it could be really scary or confusing. wouldn't it be better to be educated about sex before having it, even if you choose to save yourself? another part of the book said that dating or even kissing a man before your future husband makes you unfaithful. how can you cheat on your future husband, someone you don't even know yet? again this isn't meant to offend anyone I'm just legitimately curious. Can any of you help me out? edit: the book didn't seem to have a specific denomination but the people who gave it to me are Catholic
