Baby moving down?

Question

I’m 34 weeks and 4 days pregnant and my hips have been hurting like crazy lately. I’m pretty sure they are spreading. Does that mean my baby is moving down/dropping? Or just my body just getting ready for when he does move down?

probably a combination of both. doesnt mean labor is imminent, but baby and body start getting ready several weeks before baby comes out, it actually spreads so little at a time, compared to how it feels.   the pain makes it feel like it is opening up inches at a time😆 but its really not.   i am 33+1 and my pelvic bone has started spreading this past week.   i forgot how painful it gets.   but its all part of the process.
