SDI question

I am in California. I filed for SDI on January 6th and said my last day of work was December 21st, on the application. (I work for the school district and we were off due to winter break) I was only 34 weeks when I filed and was unaware I had to wait until 36 weeks in order to receive benefits. My doctor gave me the ok to stop working on December 27th. The case manager at my OB filled out the physicians portion on Wednesday, when I hit 36 weeks. She entered my disability start date as January 24th. Our dates don't match. Does it matter if I put an earlier disability start date that doesn't coincide with my OB? Since the edd knows you have to be 36 weeks to receive maternity disability?
