What does white discharge mean?

I have sore breasts and my period is late (I'm not pregnant, took a test, it's a side effect of the implant) 
But is the discharge normal as well?

Answer

Before I was on birth control, I would discharge when I was ovulating and a few days before my period would come. It’s pretty normal.
