How long after removal can you get pregnant?

Hello!
I want to get pregnant in a few months and am wondering when to get my IUD (Mirena) removed. Does fertility return immediately or within one cycle or so? Thank you!

I had mine for the full 5 years and got pregnant within a month of having it removed! 👍

I'm right there with ya hon. I had my Mirena in 10 years (2 different ones of course) and I just got it taken out a couple months ago. I've heard it's easy to get pregnant after having it removed. I feel like my menstrual cycle is just getting back to normal and hopefully soon there be a bun in the oven for us ;) good luck, try not to think about it too much. Just enjoy the baby making part lol

I had mine removed Jan. 5 after having it for 2 years. 
My doctor said you can become pregnant right away. However, she suggested I wait 3 months because the uterine lining can be thin after the removal and that could mean a higher chance of miscarriage. Having a few cycles before trying can also make it easier to determine an estimated due date.
