Pads or adult diapers?

What’s the best pads or adult diapers to wear after having a baby? What do you guys think? 🤔

I tried adult diapers with my first and ended up getting a horrible yeast infection (on top of the 4th degree tear healing). It was a nightmare 🤦‍♀️ my OB said she sees it all the time with people who wear adult diapers postpartum because they aren’t designed to absorb something as thick as blood. They whisk away urine moisture just fine, but not postpartum bleeding moisture, unlike pads which are specifically designed for that. I would definitely go the pad route. My favorite for postpartum are the always flex foam overnight. There is no weave (like other pads and even adult diapers) so just Incase you have any stitches, it doesn’t tug on them.

I used the hospital ones until they ran out then started using the stay free maxi pads, because they're cheap and bigger than my regular pads, they've worked great so far.

I honestly can not get myself to buy adult diapers. I just used large pads and wore boy short panties. Worked great and didn’t feel like such a disaster.

I used the giant hospital pads they gave me for a couple days, but I was able to size down to a normal pad after that. I felt better about being in my own underwear and out of the mesh ones they gave me. I’d rather just use pads.
