What do braxton hicks feel like? Is it like a period pain/cramping

Well what I understand it shouldn't be too painfull, with mine my belly just gets tight and hard, more uncomfortable than painfull. It lasts for  around 20 secs, but it happens few times a day. I'm 25 weeks..

I wanna know the answer to this question too! I'm 34w 4d and I think I've been having them lately but really not sure.and it's so funny coz this is my 2nd baby but I genuinely cannot even remember if this is what real contractions felt like! Guess it's true that u forget the pain after u have the baby!

My brax-hicks never were painful, jut a tightening of my belly muscles, sometimes enough to make me bend over and slightly uncomfortable but never painful. Mildly painful contractions are early labor contrax :)

I want to know to! I've inly had period type pain on and off, and the odd sharp shoot across the belly but not many!
I'm almost 39 weeks

I'm 26 weeks and last week I had one cramp. It definitely felt like a period pain and went away after about 30 seconds. I told my dr this at my last appointment and he said that it was a Braxton hicks contraction. That I shouldn't worry about it until I have 4 in an hour and/or they're really painful.
