is PCOS related to Autism(ASD)?

all over internet there is as so called study that says in mothers to be with pcos there is a 59 % increased risk for the baby born to have ASD. i have had pcos for a while and am 25 years old and pregnant now. Don't know what to think anymore. It is frustrating to read these kind of things during pregnancys. what do you think?

absolutely not.  correlation does not equal causation.

my midwife told me PCOS has no effect on pregnancy. it only makes it hard for someone to become pregnant.

There is no 100% for sure the cause of ASD. As someone else stated, correlation does not equal causation. Same goes for vaccines. The vaccine itself does not cause ASD, however, some children do react badly to them which can contribute to the cause.

i have faith in god and whatever god gives to me i welcome. but of course I worry .i am pregnant for the first time and we hear these kind of diseases for which the cause is unknown .  I will hope for the best
