When will they check my cervix?

35 weeks And have my group B swabs tomorrow. Will they check my cervix too? This is Baby #4.. I just don’t remember.

Depends on the doctor but there’s really no reason to until you’re in labor.

My doc never did until I was in labor. She told me it didn’t make any difference unless I was having contractions. But, I think most doctors start around 37-38 if they’re going to.

My OBs office doesn’t do any manual checks until 37 weeks. They will visually inspect the cervix, but that’s it. I’m high risk and if things look like they’re changing before that, then they’ll order an ultrasound.

I work in an OB office. 
Yes, she’ll check your cervix. My MD will do this at their 35-2737wk appointment right after the GBS swab. Heads up, the MD may swab the external anus during said GBS swab, this takes many moms off guard 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ never fun but necessary of course.

Mine starts at 36 weeks unless things start happening sooner...
