Should we inform my parents of the loss?

Me and my husband started trying and we didn’t inform anyone. I got preg but miscarried today. Should we let them know the situation even though they didn’t know we even were trying

I think it depends on how you heal. When I wad pregnant and we were told it was a mc I only told my two best friends who knew I was pregnant. I chose not to tell family because it was easier for me to heal and not have everyone keep telling me "I'm so sorry" and stuff. So I do think it is personal. But if you think you might need the extra support I would tell your family. Sorry about your loss :(

It's totally up to you and what makes you feel best! When I had a miscarriage, I told a lot of people. I think talking about it helped. But a lot of people wouldn't feel comfortable doing that. It's all totally your choice.

Thank You everyone. I told my parents and it was a little awkward since we don’t really talk about sex and personal stuff.  I’m really to myself w personal things,  but it went better than I expected. Thank You for all the advice and kind words

I told my in laws 2 weeks after the first one and a few days after the second one. We are a Christian family that prays for one another so they have been our prayer warriors from the beginning and they know we are trying. I just informed them that we are expecting at 4 weeks because I want them to pray for a healthy pregnancy that is full term. They pray for us every day. That is the only reason I have told them. Almost 5 weeks now!

Same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago. We ended up talking parents and sibling because I needed someone to know that my child existed. But we didn’t tell anyone else. I’m sorry that I can’t be much help but you need to figure out what will help you heal and do that. Just because this worked for me doesn’t mean it will work for you.  I’m so sorry for your loss.

I think you should. They would be tremendous help and support. My mom has been there for me through both my losses. She has taken me food and driven my around and even helped cheer my 6 year old up. Sometimes we need someone to take care of us until we can stand on our own two feet again.

It's totally up to you. My first misscarrage I didn't tell anyone and it was so hard to heal. I lost my second in November and told our parents and friends, it was no secret. I have felt so much more at peace with losing this baby than my first. I hope this helps and I'm so sorry for your loss!

Whether to tell or not is very personal so it depends really on how you feel. If your parents are very supportive and understanding then tell them. If you have a good relationship with your parents allow them to help you heal. When my best friend lost her baby the only ones who knew was her husband and me. We stayed on the phone together from 12:00 am on into the early hours of the morning and it really helped her. Maybe reaching out to a trusted friend or your parents will help you also.

I told everyone who knew we were TTC as soon as I was calmed down enough to talk about it. I think it helped a lot, and now I don't feel like I'm really hiding anything from them. I have a friend who only mentioned her loss when she was pregnant with a more sticky bean, and not only were we all shocked that she hadn't said anything, but she said she regretted not saying anything, especially to her mom. So, just tell who you want. My friend wished she had at least told her mom, I'm glad I got mine out of way then and there. It's all dependent on the person. Good luck, and I'm sorry for your loss.
