A faint line means pregnancy for sure. A blank space just means you don't have enough HCG in your system YET for the test you use to pick up on it. You can test on dpo13 get a neg and still be pregnant. Some women do not have enough HCG in their system until a week after their missed period so do not count you out until you have a full flow. Even spotting can happen and you can be pregnant. Sadly we just have to play the waiting game every month
