All constipated moms what worked??

What are you taking to go regurlarly? I've tried stool softners and they're not helping and then I tried M.O.M and I couldn't stop going lol

Prune juice! It's not very tasty, but it's pretty effective.

I make sure I eat 2 kiwi fruits a day. If not just one prune normally does the trick ☺️

Fresh lemon water! Drink it regularly all day long. It has regulated me!

I was allowed to take colase. But hoping water and fresh veggies helped too.

My pre-preggo fix was coffee. (This has been a chronic problem...) But I'm 10 weeks now with twins and I can't even stand the thought of coffee. My OB recommended twice daily stool softeners, and ok'd magnesium (tho omg, I only take the caplets - milk of makes me gag on a good day). The nurse at my OB office also recommended taking a nightly bath with Epsom salts, which are magnesium too, since I guess it can absorb through your skin, which is easier on an already upset stomach. Not sure if it's working, but I like baths. :) you might try it. 2 cups in a warm bath. The other thing that is bizarrely helping - orange juice. Kind of acting like a stimulant like coffee.  Weird. I mix it with ice and water since I know I am not getting enough fluids. Seems to kick start things. Good luck! I'm super miserable too.

My doctor told me to start taking colace and Miralax.... I've had serious issues, haha. I take colace every morning, and the Miralax if I feel like I need to be "cleaned out".

Obviously upping your water and natural fiber intake is the most important thing. But, when you're super constipated, telling me to drink more water is THE LAST thing I wanna hear!! Haha. I've found that taking the max dose of colace and doing a glass of Metamucil or any fiber supplement works well. Dulcolax tabs aren't necessarily pregnancy approved, but I have taken one, once. (I'm a nurse and always double check meds with my clinical pharmacology references) It was perfectly safe, and it works VERY well!
