So my sister has been working at this place for over 3 months. Today was her second time being out. First time was because she had to go confirm her pregnancy at the health department. Today was her first ultrasound. She had asked yesterday if it was okay to miss today and bring the doctor note tomorrow. They said okay. Well today after having her ultrasound she had to get blood drawn. We were all happy until she got the call from her work asking why she missed. She told the lady why and the woman said, “Oh well sorry. But you’re fired. I can’t do anything about it. If you can’t come to work you shouldn’t have gotten pregnant.” And hung up. We don’t understand why she got fired if they had said it was okay. Should we be concerned about this? TIA
