Would you choose to have an elective induction at 40 weeks?

Right now I'd say no and that I would like to avoid taking too many meds too early on. But, the closer I get to my due date, the more frustrating the idea gets that I could go past 40 weeks. I am definitely starting to understand why some moms choose to do it.

If I were to have an elective induction I would do it without an epidural.

I did with my son, my doctor was going away for over a week and offered  to induce before leaving, or play bingo and see if baby was gonna wait. So we went for the induction. It was a long process and extremely painful.
