would you have been super worried about this weight?
my child was born near avg weight (still less than 50, but around 6 mo, she fell into 10-25% weight range. more specifically, latest is 13%. since then she's been tracking consistently. she nurses and eats reg food. her height started at like 90% from birth and has dropped and settled to around 60%. doc isn't concerneed bc they say it's normal for height to drop and settle to what genetics says.
my weight is slightly below avg and so is my husband's. but we are definitely not skinny anymore. both height are slightly above avg or are avg.
when my dad found out her percentiles, he freaked out and thinks something is wrong and our doc is incompetent for not pushing us to getting her weight increase. docs are not concerned. I mean I've def wanted her to increase weight but I wasn't too worried abt it bc husband and I were skinny kids. but we apparently we were avg weight babies, unlike her.
would you still have been worried and actively tried to increase weight, regardless of what doc says. or would you have accepted the weight percentile and make sure to at least maintain it?
dad thinks we need to ditch our doc. to be honest, I did feel the doc has an attitude of, unless something is really wrong, it's fine. I saw that with some of her colleagues too. so suspected most of them are like that.
