My Birth Story (Scheduled C-Section @ 38wks)

Amber • Hello Everyone! Thank you for stopping by my profile! I am currently the mother of a wonderful autistic 5yo girl named Aria, and baby Lyra who was born in September. I’m pretty blunt and I live in fact, I don’t sugar coat. Be warned Aria - 1/27/18

So after spending most of my high risk pregnancy worrying about everything while on bedrest. On Saturday, January 27th at 8:13am my daughter was born via planned C-Section at 38wks, 3d.

Aria Aurora weighs 5lbs, 4ozs and is 18in long.

She’s perfectly healthy even though she is pretty small.

Here’s the Story. At 5am my fiancé and I headed to the hospital to check in for my c-section. They took me to one of the delivery rooms to wait until the surgery took place at 7:30am. While in there my fiancé’s family came to vist before meeting the up in the visitors area with my mom and dad.

So my OB & the rest of the team came in and talked to me and the before I knew it, it was time. So I walked back into the OR, while doing the spinal I was freaking out, luckily I had a great nurse who really helped. Once I got the spinal I kept trying to wiggle my feet to make sure i couldn’t lol! During the c-section I started feeling really sick but I didn’t throw up.

Anyway eventually they mentioned her feet were coming out now. I just kinda looked at my fiancé with a look of surprise because we had been talking about video games. And then she was here. They sewed me up and took me and my daughter to the recovery room. While in there I started bleeding out while doing skin-skin. So they ended up giving me a blood transfusion. And that’s how my daughter was born.
