My son will be 5 and we are ttc for our second baby it guess it just depends on the person 
My mother had two kids in one year 
My brother is born Feb 8 93
And i was born dec 18 93 
She literally only waited the 40 days and bamn got pregnant again lol 😂 
She started at 16 and by 21 she had 4 kids 
Right now all of us kids are   24, 24, 21, 19

My kids are 13, 10, 8, nearly 2 and we are ttc. My 10 & 8 are 22 months apart. I love that gap. They are best friends. I was hoping for that again. But this time ttc is taking longer than I hoped. 
That said my 13 and nearly 2 are very close and sweet together. So long gaps work too.

Me and my brother are 11 month apart and me and my sister are four years apart. It was awesome having my brother so close in age as a kid, but me and my sister have a better relationship as adults. 
We’ve been ttc for five years and won’t prevent back to back pregnancies until we have a few kiddos under our belt. It’s really up to you financially/emotionally/physically
