My husband and I had our son at the grocery store and we saw my grandma and her friend there and said hi. Her friend was saying how cute my 8 week old son is, and he was sucking on his soother in and out of sleep. Mind you, it was about 2pm and my son had been fighting sleep since 3am so it was a long day and I had just finished telling them that. My grandma mentioned that he just started smiling so her friend ripped the soother out of my son’s mouth and goes ‘oh you don’t need that anyway’ and I’m like

Like my inconsolable son, who is JUST drifting off to sleep ‘doesn’t need that?’ Like I was so tired of hearing my baby cry that if my son needed a fucking unicorn to put him so sleep, you bet your ass I’d find one. So of course, my son starts losing his mind again crying and the old bitch says ‘well we better go’ to my grandma and my grandma says her goodbyes and leaves. People are assholes.
