I think I got my first yeast infection?

I'm freaking out ! I just turned 18 (today actually) and I've never been sexually active or anything before and I think I might have a yeast infection? Or at least a mild one. Oh! And I got it at one of the worst places to get it, BOARDING SCHOOL! I don't want to talk to my dorm advisor or the school nurse or anyone about it. I know it's normal but it's still embarrassing. Anyways I woke up yesterday morning for school and I felt a little itchy and uncomfortable down there, but there was no discharge or anything. Then throughout the day I still felt a little itchy. Anyways by the end of the day I noticed a thin line of white discharge... it was kinda clumpy but not too clumpy and I've never seen anything like it before. I usually just get clearly stretchy discharge. Anyways, I instantly got into the shower and didn't use soap up there because I didn't wanna risk irritating whatever is going on. I just kept wiping my vagina with the a wet wash cloth and I kept seeing little traces of the white discharge ! I just don't know how I could have got one and how to deal with it alone without having to tell someone. Please someone help me!
