did you wait the full 30 days before changing your nose ring?

i got my nose pierced a week ago and i want to change it because i’m tired of the end of it  poking out the bottom of my nostril. it doesn’t hurt to touch it anymore and i can tug on it with no pain. is it too early to change it?

You need to wait until it is fully healed before changing it. Typically that takes a few months not just 30 days. If you take it out too soon you risk infection as well as the piercing closing because it’s incredibly difficult to put jewelry in a fresh piercing.

Always wait the recommended amount of time that your piercer has told you.  Never change it before then.  They are trained professionals and they know what they’re talking about

30 days?? You're supposed to wait at least 3 months & then you should check in with your piercer to see if it's healed enough / has any swelling. I understand your struggle.. I hated having the corkscrew / piggytail type of piercing in for the nose stud, people would always say "you can just tuck it up your nose" & I'm like noo that's uncomfortable too!! I just dealt with it until I could change it. I'm not sure where you heard 30 days from but I advise you definitely be careful since the more moister area-d piercings can heal up faster

I waited way longer than 30 days... you are supposed to wait a few months for it to be fully healed.
