my pediatrician told me that the point of letting them try foods before 1 was so they could get used to the motions and tastes so it isn't so difficult to try and feed them

I was told they need solids introduced around 6 months as they need iron. But maybe formula has iron in it? I’m not too sure because I ebf so I know my baby will need more than just breastmilk in the near future

I misread that as “is it okay to feed your baby formula until they’re one” not exclusively feed them formula until they are one. It’s definitely recommended to start baby on solids around 6 months, but technically you’re probably okay feeding just formula. Talk to their pediatrician.

I don't feed my baby food all the time mostly bottles and yogurt bites that are safe for babies. he's gaining weight like a champ

i introduced solids at 6months he didnt seem interested in purees. He is Breastfeed but now at 11 months he seems to enjoy his food. He has says where he only wants "boob-juice" and other days where he's more into our food. babies are confusing 😄

You might want to start before that so you can see if they are allergic to any foods and get them use to eating actual food. It's fun for them too! I also have read that they are less likely to be allergic to some foods if you start them earlier on it. We started my son at 4 months on purees.

food before one is just for fun. I feed my girl 1 oz. Of homemade puree a day , just to get her familiar with new flavors and textures..should make weaning easier

My son started solids at 5 months and by 8 months was completely on food with drink. 
You can keep them on till one but after one they need actual food.
