How early can you take a pregnancy test?

It’s been  just over 2 weeks since we have sex (January 15) and I’m not supposed to be getting my period till the 9 of February. When’s the earliest I can test?

Oh I didn’t want to see any negative tests so I just waited until I missed my period. I didn’t want to get my hopes up

I took mine 6 days after a missed period. Last month I was 4 days late and just starting to get my hopes up when Irma arrived, so I waited longer this month and after 6 days noticed a whole load of crazy symptoms, tested and got a BFP
