Did your water break before or after contractions started?

Please comment how/when your water broke :)

My contractions started at 5:30pm water broke at 6:45pm and baby girl was born at 7:12pm. All on the same day..

Mine never broke I started contractions at 8 am nothing picked up til 8 pm!! Got to hospital and was 4cm then at 2 am I was 9.5 cms and it still hadn't broke doctor had to break it from there I pushed for 5 minutes and boom she was there

With my first, my water broke first. With my second my water had to be broken.

On my first water broke when I woke up around 7am on second contractions came and water didn't break until right before baby came....

I was expecting it to break so I was waiting around to go to hospital by the time I decided to go my contractions were about 2 mins apart when got there then had to wait it waiting room for nurse to come.... They took me to triage and wanted me to pee and change then tried to get iv in by that time they were a min apart and the person putting iv in was not an on nurse (they were all busy on emergency csection) few seconds later she called someone finally let my husband back with me... The nurse got there called three others and said you think you can make it told or and delivery I said yes had contraction then 30 seconds later said no I have to push water burst baby came shooting out! 
Both of my deliveries were COMPLETELY DIFFERENT so it could go either way just don't wait too long if having contractions :)

Twice before and twice after... I didn't feel any difference between the pain of the contractions
