I got my cartilage pierced a week ago. It’s my first piercing. If it’s warm to the does does it mean it’s infected? It’s still pretty sore and swollen

You know it’s infected when it’s oozing yellow or sometimes green puss

My cartilage got infected in 2013 and I had a huge boil on the back of my ear and when it burst it was disgusting. IF it does get infected do not take the earring out the infection will get trapped in your ear like mine did.
