Is it routine for Gyno to check egg quality (fsh)??

I went to the Gyno after 6 months of ttc and she knew I was getting impatient. She said normally they don't do anything until 12 months but I think she felt bad telling me to just keep trying. I'm only cd 10 and have to wait until the next cycle (cd3) to have blood drawn. Hopefully af doesn't show though
