My 16 month old son keeps hitting. Whenever I don't give him exactly what he wants when he wants it, for example, he will hand me his sippy cup (obviously wanting a drink) and I may be busy and unable to get it to him immediately, and he'll smack me. I tell him to hold on and I will get him a drink in just a minute, but he'll hit me anyway. I tell him no, hitting isn't nice, try redirecting, sometimes he laughs at me if he smacks me in the face and I say ouch. He has 2 older brothers and i did not have this issue with them, and with 3 little boys, you can see why, at times, I can't give him what he's wanting immediately. Any advice to curb this behavior before it get worse would be great!
