Men and maternity leave

So we all know women get this, men don't.

The obvious reason being that *duh* they don't actually have to suffer though pregnancy and childbirth, and if the family doesn't have insurance or enough income someone has to step up, right?

We're going look around those two things and look at this (so assume money isn't a issue): another reason for maternity leave is the time after birth so the mother can bond with her baby and of course rest from the hectic delivery. Why not the men? Why shouldn't dad be involved and get to bond with baby for a period of time after birth? This would also give mom more time to rest if he's around to help.

How do you feel?

((This is assuming the parents are together))
