Can’t hide it, so announce it?

Question

I cannot physically hide my bump anymore. I’m growing bigger and bigger by the day. This is me at 7 weeks and I’m even bigger now at 8 weeks. 😳 My coworkers can clearly tell something is up. I was the same in my first pregnancy and showed early so I couldn’t keep it a secret even if I wanted to. Should I just announce it?

I would personally wait until 10 weeks only because 7-9 weeks I've seen cases of missed miscarriage  (I had one as well one of my 5 pregnancies at 9 weeks). Placenta develops around 10 weeks which is the next hurdle to loss. Once I got a confirmed heartbeat at 10 weeks I felt better. I mean you can of course tell family,  but I wouldn't announce to everyone yet. I'd be wearing some tunics a couple more weeks lol

There was an article that came up on my Nurture feed today titled "Im pregnant so why can't I tell?" from medium.com. Definitely worth reading. Having been struggling with the symptoms at 4 weeks and struggling to hide from coworkers in an open office space - it's also hard for them to not notice I've been leaving for doctor's appointments averaging once a week. I'd say telling them will probably feel like a huge relief rather than the stress of trying to keep hiding for another month. Ultimately it is whatever makes you feel best and most comfortable which is your top priority right now. Hope this helps and sending lots of love xoxo

What are the benefits to hiding it? I’ve never quite understood that, outside of “personal space” reasons. 🤷🏻‍♀️
