Should military be allowed to recruit at high schools??

Yes and no. Having someone come to career day and tossing the idea out there as an option, providing honest information, is fine. Having an actual recruiter there whose sole purpose is to convince impressionable kids that the military is a a golden walk on a rainbow, probably a little predatorial.

Honestly the recruiters that were always at our school, made you feel like shit for not joining the military, like it's the only way for you. I have the same view that religion should not be allowed in schools as well. Nothing should be shoved down teens throats. Honestly it's sad they get young teems were they are vulnerable and persuade them into the military.

If the high school is having a career day then yes. However if they are just standing there to recruit, that's wrong. If someone really want to enlist they can do so themselves, they don't need to be pressured into it.

I don't think so, I think some vulnerable high schoolers can be persuaded into joining because of the "money". This is what happened to my fiancé when he was in high school and military life ended up not agreeing with him and he was discharged. I think if they have to actually go to a recruiters office then that means they are more serious about it and are choosing to join on their own...if that makes sense?

I enjoyed it, I always had military at my school, pretty much everyday someone would have a table in the commons area, and sometimes we'd have them speak in our classes, and I enjoyed it.. It was nice to explore options, we also always had colleges have tables too!

Why not? I find that those truly interested in being in it know they want to do so in that age group. Plus they have to be 18 anyway, and it gives the kids a break from class (which my school always enjoyed).
