Hosting your own shower. Thoughts?

So my mom is the only one who has come forward to host a shower for me. But she's older and doesn't speak much english.. So basically she would be "hosting" the shower but i would be planning it for her. Even financially as she is in a bad place right now money wise. I'm getting stressed out planning a shower for myself and I really really don't want to plan it plus I can barely afford it! I really wanted to have a shower but this is not how I wanted it to be. & I don't have anyone else to help. What do you guys think should I just say screw it and not have a shower? Or should I stick it out? My mom says she really wants to "host" the shower so she will pay the expenses back in a month or so... Don't know what to do 😞
