Prep for an u/s?

Question

Ok, when I went in for my first u/s the dr didn't tell me anything. I'd already been waiting for 40 mins past my appt time when the nurse came out and told me to drink water! When I asked how much, she just said lots! 
​I didn't have any with me, so I had to drink from their cooler-the water was ice cold, and downing so much have me a headache, and had me shivering...after all that they still had to switch to a transvaginal u/s!
​So my question is this...I have my 2nd u/s in 2 weeks, they've told me nothing again. What do I need to do to prepare for it?!

My Dr never tells me to drink water or anything but I've never had a problem with them finding my baby or even getting my baby to move. However, for my anatomy scan next Monday she did suggest that I drink something sweet. Just to make sure my baby is moving.

I always drink plenty of water and then if they decide to do transvaginal they just let me run to the bathroom first xxxx

My Dr always sends a slip of paper with my appt card when I'm sceduled for ultrasounds to drink 48oz of water an he before the appt. But have it finished at least 30 mind before the appt.

My OB always wants me to empty my bladder before u/s, same with my first baby and I've never had a problem finding either of them or seeing anything.

Any ultrasound before 20 weeks they want 16oz of water, after 20w they say you only need 8oz of water. Also 2 hours before your app is the recommended time frame for it.

I think they only want you to have a full bladder when is really early on. How far along will you be for your next us?

You usually don't have to prepare for it. That's why they give you something cold to get the baby moving!

You always come to a ultra sound with a full bladder, if the baby isn't moving or sitting in a funny position they will have you go to the bathroom which you will :).

You want a full bladder and lots of fluid around baby, so the ultrasound can see better. The more water the better your pictures and the clearer.
