15 Months Not Talking much ??

Question

Any of yours 15 Months babies not talking much? Mine just says mama baba or maaa amaa that’s it and even those randomly he doesn’t particularly call me mama. But he says baba to dad. Should I consider speech therapy now or is it too soon?

Same here... I’ve brought it up to the ped at the 12 & 15 month appointments and she told us 5 partial words is normal at 15 months

I'd say too soon ☺ wait until 2 years. Every baby has their own specific timeline for milestones. Just keep reading, pointing to the words, and pick a few one syllable words and 5 minutes everyday and practice them. It took about 3 weeks for our LO to say "love" but she still can't say "up" lol

Mine only says Dada, Hi, Baba, and Bye Bye! No Mama yet :( I was a little worried too, but pediatrician said to work with them. When she points to things to not just give it to them, but work with them to say each thing.

My son only says mama , dada and uh-oh. He says some partial words like “I love you” that sounds like “I lud”. We are going to do early intervention at 18 months if it doesn’t improve. There is zero harm in getting an early communication assessment done.  We don’t have any concerns other wise because he follows directions super well and remembers details almost better than I do, but even with repetition he hasnt shown much improvement. I’m Definitly not worried, just want to be proactive rather than reactive down the line. 
Our pediatrician made a great point about making sure I give him the opportunity to use words instead of just doing things. Repeat “up” 10 times before actually picking him up. Stuff like that.

My 16 m/o son only babbles. I asked our ped and she said he may not talk until 2. She said it is nothing to have concern. 🤷🏼‍♀️. It makes me feel terrible when i hear other kids talking at storytime

My daughter is only saying hi and dada, so at our 15 mo check up our pediatrician said that only 2 words is a delay, by this time she should have 8 words. 
She wasn’t super concerned but did refer us to a hearing specialist to rule out any hearing problems as a precaution. We went last week to the specialist and my daughter’s hearing was determined to be normal and could support speech and language development. 
So I guess we’re just going to chalk it up to developmental variation for now and see where she is with language/speech by her next check up.
