please help!!!

I found out a week ago that I am expecting my first baby, and my boyfriend and I are so excited! of course the first thing I wanted to do was to tell my mom, dad and sister. however, we live about 3 hours from my family and my boyfriend works almost every weekend. we aren’t sure when his next weekend off will be, but it is killing me to not be able to talk to them about it! would it be insensitive or bad to tell them over the phone? I’m so torn at what to do 😩 any advice is appreciated!!
