Question TMI

I was supposed to start my period today and I thought I had. We’ve been TTC since end on July. I put a tampon in and went about my day. As I was getting ready for bed I changed it because it had been a couple of hour since putting the tampon in. Well, it’s gross I know, but it wasn’t bloody. It was like a small amount of creamy orange looking stuff. This has never ever happened before. I’ve also had a horrible stent of heartburn and indigestion. Idk what any of this means. Does anyone know?
