Working Mom’s Small Rant

To all of the women that ask me if I cry when I have to leave my baby in the morning to go to work:

NO! I don’t cry because I’m kicking ass at my job and providing for my child. I can stay at home but choose to work because I want a certain life and certain life experiences for my baby. I want her to go to private school. I want a dog and to comfortably afford dog daycare. I want a new car every 3-5 years and I’m not going to feel bad about it. I want to comfortably save money for my child. I want to interact with adults and problem-solve on a regular basis.

So no, I do not cry when I leave my child in the morning. Not that it is ANY of your business.

And to those women who shame SAHM, step off. It is their choice to stay at home with their babies. How they feel about leaving the workforce is NONE of you business.
