MIL not expecting grandchildren

So my MIL and I have a not too bad relationship, it was better before I got married with my husband. But then she realised I’m stubborn and not like to be controlled by her, our relationship went a little backwards. Overall, it’s not too bad for MIL and DIL.

Before I was pregnant. We talked about this baby topic a few times in front of her. She keep saying I am a baby myself, something like my husband and I need to grow up more... we are still too young. I don’t like those commments at all. Othertimes she would say “ take your time “ “ go travel “..... it seems like she doesn’t want grandchildren at all. ( she doesn’t have any grandchildren yet and she’s 60+). I found it strange.

Now I’m 6 wks pregnant ( only). We not planning to tell her untill 12 weeks. I’ve already told my parents, they are so excited. I can’t imagine what my MIL reaction will be like. The other day when I saw her, I told her I was feeling a little sick ( that’s truth, I thought I was getting flu, but later found out that’s my symptoms for morning sickness). She straight away asked “ you are pregnant?” With her face going white and eyes wide open like she’s scared. I denied. But I just don’t see any happiness from her face even she’s guessing.

Any of your MIL don’t seems happy for you when your pregnant ? Or planning to get pregnant ??
