Tuna safe while pregnant?

Who is eating tuna? I've read and heard mixed info about it. My dr says it fine, some friends doctors don't recommend it. I also read the consumer report warned against it recently. I have been craving some tuna and can't decide. 😕

I've heard it's something to eat in moderation, even canned. Give into your craving, just don't start eating it every day. :-)

Just be careful with certain types. I know albacore has the highest mercury content.

My Dr hasn't told me I can't have anything. She's all about moderation. My last OB with my son gave me a list of foods I could as couldn't eat, I didn't follow that either. I ate what I wanted when I wanted to. My son is fine. Only thing I did stay away from is raw fish and things like that because of the chance of bacteria. But some runs here and there is fine. I have 4 cans of it in my cupboard and had a can yesterday. I won't eat more than a can a week though cuz I can't handle that much tuna.

I ate tuna with both pregnancies. However with my first I ate ALOT. I constantly craved tuna salad.
