High risk pregnancy dilemma

If you are deemed high risk by your doctor please have them fill out paperwork and send it to your insurance company ASAP.
We have been getting these enormous bills for things that I assumed where covered due to my conditions; pap a, epilepsy and being on Keppa. I just off the phone with my insurance that I'm almost maxed out of pocket (awesome, free labor and delivery!!) but they deem high risk at 35+ and never got a letter from my specialists!!!
I'm irritated because I truly feel that the high risk specialists do literally nothing besides collect money so I want them to know their error...but I'm also grateful that we will be maxed out come babies birth. If I say something, does this adjust and give me back money or would it just be fixed going forward? Advice is appreciated which is why I'm posting here and not specifically in high risk. Thanks😊
