Rainbow Baby

hi all - my husband and I miscarried on January 6th at 5 weeks. We were instructed 3 weeks ago during our follow up appointment that we did not have to wait to try and conceive again. My HGC levels had dropped to 6.

On Thursday this week I took a pregnancy test and it almost instantly came back positive. Yesterday morning I took a clearblue digital test and it was also positive showing 2-3 weeks. This morning we went to the walk in clinic and they also did another pregancy test and it came back positive. The doctor told us that he is confident this is a new pregnancy and not residual hormones from our miscarriage. He did not send us blood work to confirm anything, he simply told us to carry on as though we were around 5 weeks pregnant.

Although I expected to go for blood work to confirm my rising HCG levels, I am definitely feeling pregnant (sore boobs, fatigue and a little nausea); there’s definitely a part of me that wishes my HCG levels had been checked to give absolute certainty that I was in fact pregnant once again - but the doctor told us it was not necessary.

Heres hoping this little babe sticks and grows so we can welcome him/her in early October
